ESMA's interim MiCA register lists 379 entries for crypto-asset service providers, covering 376 legal entities, up from 364 on 30 September. BingX EU was authorised by Austria's FMA on 13 October for four services, including custody and exchange. YouHodler Italy appears with a date of 8 October at CONSOB and five services, without loans or yield products. Germany has reached 109 entries, many of them notifications by banks.
What it means: ESMA's register is the most reliable place to check whether a crypto provider operates legally in Europe now that the transition period ended in July. The rise in entries shows the market consolidating around firms that have passed supervisory review, while those without a licence have to withdraw. The interesting detail is the large number of German banks notifying to offer crypto services to their customers, which shows traditional banks entering the field through the existing framework. The register must be read with care, though: it is interim, some entries have incomplete data, and a licence in one country does not mean the provider serves every country, since that is set by its passport list. For Greek users and businesses, the practical rule is to check whether the specific legal entity they contract with is in the register and whether Greece appears on its list. A licence does not guarantee the safety of funds or low costs, but it does give a clear supervisor for complaints.
