This policy describes how STREAMCODE Ε.Ε. collects and processes personal data through the streamcode.gr website, in accordance with the General Data Protection Regulation (EU) 2016/679.

What data we collect

We collect only the data necessary for the purpose you contact us for:

Details you submit through the contact form: full name, email, optionally phone number and company name, and the content of your message.
Technical data recorded by the server for security and correct operation: IP address, request date and time, requested page and browser type.

Purpose and legal basis

Contact form details are used solely to respond to your enquiry and, if an engagement follows, to prepare and perform the contract. The legal basis is your consent and the performance of a contract or pre-contractual steps.

Server technical logs are kept on the basis of our legitimate interest in the security and stable operation of the website.

If you subscribe to the weekly Tech News digest, we process your email address, the subscription and confirmation dates, the version of the consent text, the language of the page you subscribed from (Greek or English, so messages are sent in that language), which lists you have switched on, and a one-way hash of the IP address used to subscribe, as proof of consent. The legal basis is your consent (Article 6(1)(a) GDPR).

The Tech News subscription uses double opt-in: it becomes active only after you click the link in the confirmation email. Unconfirmed sign-ups are deleted automatically after 7 days. Separately, and only if you choose them, you can receive product and company updates, and greetings for your birthday, name day, Christmas, New Year, Orthodox Easter, 25 March and 28 October. For greetings we store, only if you provide them, the day and month (not the year), a movable feast when that applies, and optionally a first name. Those lists do not turn on when you subscribe to Tech News.

Every email contains a preferences link, where you can turn a list off or on, download your data, or delete it. One-click unsubscribe turns off the list that message belongs to. If no list remains, the address is deleted. Data is stored on our own server outside the public website, and emails are sent through our email provider (Zoho Mail, EU data centre). Marketing messages (not the Tech News digest and not greetings) measure opens with a small pixel and clicks through links on this site. The measurement is tied to the list address. Some email apps open the pixel on their own, so an “open” does not always mean you read the message.

Retention period

Contact messages are retained for as long as needed to handle the enquiry and, where an engagement follows, for the period required by tax and commercial law. Technical logs are retained for a limited period and then deleted automatically.

Cookies and analytics

This website uses no advertising cookies and does not track your behaviour across other websites. We use only strictly necessary technical cookies. Details are available in the cookie policy.

Recipients of the data

We do not sell or transfer data to third parties for commercial purposes. Data may be accessible to infrastructure and email service providers acting as processors on our behalf, bound by contract and confidentiality obligations.

Your rights

You have the right of access, rectification, erasure, restriction of processing, objection and data portability, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. To exercise your rights write to [email protected]; we respond within one month.

If you believe the processing of your data infringes the law, you have the right to lodge a complaint with the Hellenic Data Protection Authority (www.dpa.gr).

Security

We apply encryption in transit over HTTPS, least-privilege access to data, regular security updates and backups.
