In a 3 November 2026 press notice AADE announced expanded digital tracking of inventory movements under decision A.1233/2026. Phase B1 starts 1 January 2027 for digital loading, transshipment, delivery/receipt and quantity-control flows; Phase B2 starts 1 January 2028 with unified goods coding per TARIC. Simplifications cover carriers/couriers, farmers lacking origin weighing and certain seller-site deliveries, with timologio and myDATAapp upgrades.

What it means: For Greek traders, carriers and agribusinesses, the 2027–2028 timeline is the core compliance deliverable: map movement flows, test data submissions and train warehouse staff before B1. Multi-depot firms must align WMS/ERP with the new schema fields and quantity controls. Carriers and couriers that already pull from real-time internal systems gain simplification only if data are complete and timely. Farmer cooperatives should tell producers that the receiving merchant may declare quantities when origin weighing is impossible. B2’s TARIC coding hits master data—prepare from 2027. Pilot with free timologio/myDATAapp, but do not delay if volumes need a commercial connector. 3PL contracts should assign submission roles and error liability. Non-compliance raises movement-audit and VAT/excise risk. In practice, teams should name an owner, update the risk register and agree success criteria within 30 days. Where suppliers or customers are affected, send a short notice that points to the primary source and avoids overstated claims. Compliance, cybersecurity and payments operations are linked; a change in one area often requires a pass over contracts, access rights and continuity plans. Finally, keep a review date so the item becomes concrete actions for the Greek business rather than newsletter noise alone.
