On 5 November 2026 AWS announced general availability of Web Answer on Amazon Bedrock AgentCore. The managed tool returns a synthesized, grounded, cited answer from current web sources in a single call, so teams need not maintain their own search–retrieve–synthesis pipeline. It builds on AgentCore Web Search (June) and supports domain include/deny and publish-date filters, MCP calls via AgentCore Gateway with IAM and zero data egress. It is available in US East (N. Virginia) with per-tool-call pricing.
What it means: For Greek teams building agents on Bedrock, Web Answer shortens time to a production grounded answer if N. Virginia residency and per-call cost fit the usage model. Domain allow/deny policies are needed so answers do not pull from untrusted sites. IAM auth and zero egress help data-compliance talks but do not replace DPAs or EU transfer assessments. Before pilots, set citation-quality metrics and cost-per-question versus in-house RAG. Customers with sensitive data must check what leaves as a query and what is logged. In practice, teams should name an owner, update the risk register and agree success criteria within 30 days. Where suppliers or customers are affected, send a short note citing the primary source without overclaiming. Compliance, security and operations are linked; one change often needs contract, access-rights and continuity checks. Keep a review calendar so the news becomes concrete actions for the Greek business. In practice, teams should name an owner, update the risk register and agree success criteria within 30 days.
