On 5 November 2026 AWS announced that AWS WAF AI traffic monetization now supports fiat payouts through Stripe. Publishers, content owners and API providers can collect payments from AI bots/agents that settle in local currency to a Stripe balance without holding stablecoins or a crypto wallet. Pricing policies and HTTP 402 flows stay the same; Stripe is an added payout path at no extra AWS WAF fee beyond standard WAF and Stripe charges, on CloudFront-associated edges.

What it means: For Greek media, SaaS APIs and publishers already on CloudFront/WAF, Stripe fiat settlement simplifies collecting from agent traffic without a crypto treasury. Legal and tax review is needed: bot pricing, VAT, and whether terms allow charging automated access. Stripe Connect in the WAF console should use dual control and KYC. In practice, teams should name an owner, update the risk register and agree success criteria within 30 days. Where suppliers or customers are affected, send a short note citing the primary source without overclaiming. Compliance, security and operations are linked; one change often needs contract, access-rights and continuity checks. Keep a review calendar so the news becomes concrete actions for the Greek business. In practice, teams should name an owner, update the risk register and agree success criteria within 30 days.
